FAQs for EMPOWERED event

Q: What makes this event stand out from the rest?

A: The intentionality and thought placed into every detail from the event space, partnerships, speakers, graphics, offerings, and experiences comes directly from our heart to yours. Our strongly held beliefs in health freedom, reclaiming our sovereignty, and remembering the power that we already have as women were the impetus to host this experience. We aim to provide a sacred and uplifting container for women of all ages to be inspired, invigorated, encouraged and reminded of their own intrinsic power and strength - and to question anything telling them otherwise.

Q: What do I need to bring to the event?

A: For the immersive experiences on Friday and Sunday, please bring your own yoga mat. You may also bring your lunch for the 2-hour lunch break on Friday. Otherwise, bring a smile and an open heart!

Q: What is Glassbox? Where is it located?

A: Hidden behind industrial facades like a Secret Garden, Glassbox is a beautiful minimalist space that provides the perfect container for our event. It can be accessed by following the hallway in the North side of the parking lot depicted in the map below. Continue past the plants, shops and offices until you get to the Lemon Grove. On your left is Glassbox!

Refer to this map for directions!

Q: Where is the best place to park?

A: There is a paid parking lot with 80 spots on-site, and street parking is available as well. We encourage carpooling when possible! Refer to above map of Ironside.

Q: Saturday is a full day of speakers! Will food be provided?

A: There will be a 2-hour lunch break on Saturday. There is a restaurant literally just a few steps away called Ironside Pizza (with more than just pizza; check their menu here), and many other restaurant options in the area within a short drive (and places for you to sit and enjoy if you prefer to pack your own lunch!)

Saturday evening will be a Mix & Mingle sponsored by The Centner Academy, where food and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.

Q: Are men invited?

A: This is a women’s-focused event and the material is geared toward this perspective, so we expect to attract a mostly-feminine audience. With that being said, men are not prohibited from attending, and they are certainly welcome to join for the Mix & Mingle on Saturday evening.

Q: Are children allowed?

A: Due to the nature of the subject matter explored in this event, and the freedom with which some of the speakers may express themselves, it is not appropriate for children to attend.

Q: Do you provide refunds?

A: At this time, we are unable to offer refunds.

Q: I don’t see an answer to my question above!

A: Please reach out to us directly by emailing florida@healthfreedomforhumanity.org and we will get back to you ASAP!
